Contact: Mark Estcourt, Managing Director General information Cavendish Young is a firm of Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) and as such we advise and recommend on all areas of financial planning. We are not tied to anyone product or mortgage provider so all our advice is based on a "whole market" solution. We offer a range of Fee options and can also offset any fees against any commissions we may earn too. For mortgages we charge a fee of 1% of the loan. This typically would be £1,000.00 on a loan of £100,000.00. This fee is payable on completion of the mortgage. Any commission payable is returned to you. Our core client base consists of Professionals working in Central London and the South East. These clients mainly work in the following industries: Advertising, Accountancy, Banking, Film, Information Technology, Law Medicine, property & Surveying. The ages of our clients vary considerably but the average age is somewhere between 25 and 45 years old. We also advise a number of businesses on both their strategic & financial planning with the average number of employees ranging between 1 to 150. Our client retention rate is very high as we look to establish a long term business relationship with all them right from the start, catering for all their needs as when they arrive. Over 90% of our new business is by word of mouth recommendations from our existing clients. The remaining 10% of our business comes from the internet. The vast majority of our work consists of what we would describe as "General Practice."
We are a member of Sesame Ltd and therefore part of the largest group of IFAs in the UK. This gives us a competitive advantage on the price and costs of all contracts, whilst still remaining totally independent and therefore free to recommend the most suitable product or service to our clients. Mark Estcourt, the Managing Director of Cavendish Young, has been an IFA since 1992 and has been a Finance Director of several other companies, including another successful West End IFA.
