We advise clients on diverse personal and business related financial planning such as:
The firm is authorised by the Financial Services Authority to conduct investment business. We are completely independent of all insurance companies, investment managers and other product providers. We not only advise on and implement investment but also establish suitable tax vehicles for clients, e.g. trusts, pension plans, offshore bonds etc, advising on associated tax planning issues as required. We provide an ongoing advisory investment management service to review investment assets are on a regular basis to ensure that they continue to be competitive and meet your objectives. We have a structured approach in relation to the allocation of client assets, depending on the circumstances, and undertake our own research into collective investments e.g., unit, investments trusts etc. We also use the research and recommendations of a number of leading stockbrokers and independent research houses in areas such as individual equities and investments trusts. Our approach to investment is based on the principles of research, diversification and monitoring. We also provide a taxation compliance and advisory service and can prepare Self Assessment Tax Return forms and tax repayment claim forms for investment clients. "Financial Health Check" This is an initial meeting or discussion, without fee or obligation, to review existing pensions, investment and other financial planning to see whether these arrangements remain competitive and continue to meet your objectives. If work is to be carried out then a fee would be agreed. However, where we implement investment on behalf of clients this, in many cases, generates commission, which, with our clients agreement, can be used to offset against fees with any balance being reinvested in full. Where commission is not available or is reinvested we invoice clients in the normal way. It is important to point out that in most cases where investments are placed directly with life, investment companies etc., rather than through an agent such as Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie, individuals will not normally be able to benefit from any commission available, reinvestment of which will reduce initial investment costs. Additionally, we are able to negotiate discounts with many investment managers which we pass directly on to clients when implementing investment on their behalf.
