WH Ireland (Financial Services) Limited Independent Financial Advisors in Cardiff combines the benefits of a small, friendly independent financial advice practice with the backing of a PLC parent.

Our practice has provided financial services in Cardiff and the surrounding areas since 1990, becoming part of WH Ireland Group in 2004, and many of our clients have been with us for ten to fifteen years plus. We have always placed an emphasis on friendly, individualised customer service.

Our main areas of focus are investment advice, pensions (both individual and small corporate), inheritance tax planning and care fees planning. We also offer protection, mortgage and equity release advice.

In addition, we can offer stockbroking services through our sister company, WH Ireland Limited, who operate from the same offices in the heart of Cardiff.

Trevor Durham MSci (Hons) APFS AIFP CFP

Trevor has been with WH Ireland since the end of 2005, when he moved to South Wales having previously worked in the City of London, and has eleven years experience in the financial services industry. He is highly qualified, holding both the Chartered Financial Planner (as awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute) and Certified Financial Planner (as awarded by the Institute of Financial Planning) titles. These are the two gold standard qualifications in the UK financial advice industry, and Trevor is one of only a few hundred advisers across the whole UK (and one of only 6 in South Wales) to hold both.

Bronwen Pope BSc (Hons) Dip PFS DIFP

Bronwen joined WH Ireland in October 2008 from local rival Brewin Dolphin. She became an authorised financial adviser in 2005, and worked locally for Lloyds TSB and Castel Court before joining us.

Bronwen is very well qualified, holding the Diploma in Financial Planning (as awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute), and hopes to qualify as a Chartered Financial Planner this year.

David Cook BA (Hons) Cert PFS

David has been an authorised financial adviser since 2005 and, having spent a couple of years in a combined client facing and research role was promoted to full time adviser in Summer 2008. Previously, David worked for many years in a pensions technical role for the Inland Revenue, so is highly knowledgeable in this area.

Our Services

As you would expect, we offer our services on either a fee based or a commission based system. We also offer the first meeting without charge.
