RESUME AND RANGE OF SERVICES
Michael Norris and David Makinson, who have over 35 years combined experience in Financial Services, established PCFP in February 1999.
Mick is the holder of the prestigious Scottish Equitable Retirement Options Merit Award for 2002.
The firm's motto is "Independence + Impartiality = Integrity". We believe that the only way to promote true impartiality is to offer all our clients
the option of remunerating us by way of fees. This allows us to provide advice without the potential for bias created by the sale of commission
based products.
TREATING YOU FAIRLY
As a client of PCFP you can expect from us:
- An entitlement to expert, unbiased Independent Financial Advice
- Positive, practical and decisive advice
- Clear and concise jargon-free reports and recommendations
- Cost effective solutions
- Open and transparent charging options for the work undertaken on your behalf
As a client of PCFP we would expect in return from you:
- Open and full disclosure with regard to your financial circumstances
- Precise disclosure of your attitude to investment risk
- Clear instructions in respect of the work you would like us to carry out
- Prompt disclosure of any material changes to your circumstances
- The prompt payment of our fees
Professionally Connected Financial Planning is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority
THE ADVICE PROCESS:
- We meet with you, the client to discuss and record your individual
circumstances, your objectives, your attitude to risk and your preferences.
This meeting is usually free of charge. At the start of that meeting we will
provide you with a Business Card, our Terms of Business and the Initial
Disclosure Document(s) relating to the area(s) of advice you require.
- At the end of the first meeting, we provide a broad outline of the areas
upon which we can provide advice. If you wish to proceed, we then discuss
the options, and ask you to sign our Terms of Business. We will then agree
the basis for our remuneration, and provide you with our Fee Agreement which
you will need to sign and return as your consent for us to provide the
advice you require.
- We will then prepare a detailed written report recommending an appropriate
course of action, and detailing any specific financial products which might
be used to fulfil your objectives.
- We then usually meet with you again to discuss the report and
recommendations in detail, and arrange any agreed financial products
required to meet your objectives.
